New England Sings (NES) is Inspired Nation’s inaugural event and has showcased the talent of aspiring young artists to date, raising close to $200,000 for charitable partners within the past three years . Each year, finalists between the ages of 12-21 perform at the historic Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine and compete in front of music-industry veterans Kara DioGuardi, Brad Kenney (artistic director of Ogunquit Playhouse), and Bonnie Hayes (American singer/songwriter, recording artist, musician and record producer). Winners receive a mentorship with Kara, a Summer Sessions scholarship to Berklee College of Music, and a cash prize. Notable press from the event includes: Boston Globe, Portland Press Herald, Portsmouth Herald, iHeartRadio, and several local newspapers.
